Editorial and Calculation Policy
Calcendo is built around clear methods, traceable sources, and honest limitations. This policy describes the intended review process.
1. Primary sources
Where a statutory rule applies, production calculators should cite primary sources such as official gazettes, revenue services, standards bodies, or authoritative textbooks. We do not copy formulas, explanations, examples, code, layouts, or branding from other calculator publishers.
2. Transparent assumptions
Calculator pages are intended to explain inputs, units, formulas, worked examples, rounding, common mistakes and material limitations. Country-specific rules should identify jurisdiction and effective dates. Some long-form guides are drafted from topic briefs using an offline content generator; automated length and structure checks are not a substitute for a qualified subject-matter review.
3. Commercial independence
Advertising and affiliate relationships must be clearly labelled and must not alter formulas, results, or editorial recommendations.
4. Versioning and corrections
Changes to statutory thresholds or mathematical logic should be versioned and regression-tested. Reported errors should be reproduced, checked against sources, corrected, and documented. Calcendo does not claim an individual professional reviewer unless that person and their relevant credentials are explicitly named on the applicable page.
